So let’s say you have not only practiced with content and established your authority but also generated methods of monetisation with direct business.
If that certain artist, creator or business does not want to pay you for your efforts, try persuade them (this is where marketing & sales can be useful - self-education is important).
You need to show them exactly why your efforts are important with proof.
Don’t expect to get business in the today’s world by just selling them a dream because they will pick up in a matter of days about how crap your service is.
From there it just becomes a downward spiral of bad referrals.
You need to build an editing profile, show the business or person clearly how many views you are getting them per reel and provide them with a video on exactly how you can help them.
For example; you could plug in their free lead magnet under the video you made for them or send your audience to their page where they start opting in or buying.
If you build a decent profile online, you also hold the power to provide a predictable amount of attention to businesses after you gain the experience and knowledge.
You can charge people to post a creative reel of them to boost their personal brand which gets more people paying attention to their business or content.
Once again, if Tony Stark was a real person and he wanted the world to know he was Ironman and wanted to bring in more attention to himself which would blow up his business even more, he’d want YOU to create captivating, and creative reels about him.
It’s like those “sigma edits” or viral TikTok reels that creatively promote artists with a unique flair with their music in the background.
If you think of this strategy in the business world, you can see how much attention will convert to money.
In case I haven’t mentioned this already, practicing your editing with any clip is great, but targeting clients with an online image is better.
The people who are already posting content understand its value so you don’t need to convince them and it also shows that they have the funds to put towards the content game.
They should be clients who are NOT killing it online, but they have the potential to explode.
This is where you need to develop an eye for those type of clients.
Once again, a bit of practice and experience.
If you target broke people, you’ll have a broke business.
By offering these services for free, getting clients results and seeing a practical increase in your client’s revenue, you’re able to charge with confidence without doing any more free work.
Also, not only get clients results, but a strong portfolio of quality clients will increase the “perceived value” of your business.
